STATUS 30th March AM
We are now operating a reduced service to support critical trade business and construction. This means we will prioritise orders and carry out deliveries for any customer who is working to support anyone, in what has been determined a critical trade business or service. This will include those industries determined by the Construction Industry Council as essential. (http://cic.org.uk/blog/) This list is not exhaustive but includes not only the building of medical & aligned facilities but also any essential repair and maintenance work that is vital to public health & safety.
We will be supporting everyone in the trade who is working to ensure the basic provision of services such as heat and water are maintained and that properties are wind and watertight.
We have therefore created a key network of 4 strategically placed branches throughout the South East which will remain operational. We are working with our colleagues across the Independent Builders Merchant Group to provide this service so the branches which are operational are as follows:
|Parker Building Supplies||Bexhill on Sea||01424 218888||7am-5pm|
|Parker Building Supplies||Maidstone||01622 757151||7am-5pm|
|Chandlers Building Supplies||Ringmer||01273 812721||7am-5pm|
|Stamco Building Supplies||Worthing||01903 258144||7.30am-5pm|

STATUS 26th March PM
- Due to the unprecedented situation of Covid-19, we have now closed our online shop.
- In line with government guidance, which classifies builders merchants as providing essential services, we will be operating a consolidated delivery service available only for essential works only – for example to vulnerable communities as well as hospitals and distribution.
- This means the majority of our branches will now be closed and not making any further deliveries .
- The branches that are open will endeavour to fulfil outstanding customer deliveries.
- If you have any further questions please email us at email@example.com
Thank you for your support
Stay safe, stay home.

STATUS 24th March
Following the Government’s Covid–19 guidance, by the Prime Minister on 23 March 2020, it is clear that the situation is developing rapidly. The current Government Covid-19 guidelines are that we can, for now, stay open for business.
Please be assured that the safety of all colleagues and customers will always remain our number one priority. Consequently, although our branches should open on 24th March, we will be making deliveries to site only. Orders can be placed via telephone to your local branch.
PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE BRANCH
We have issued all our staff with Company guidelines on contact free deliveries which should be followed by all drivers.
We will continue to monitor the developing situation and ask for your support in following the guidelines so that everyone remains safe and well. We are sure you appreciate that the situation is changing very quickly and there is therefore no guarantee that we will be able to continue to make deliveries. We will endeavour to keep you informed should there be any changes to the above situation.
We would like to wish all our customers well, at what is a very difficult and uncertain time for all of us.
STATUS 19th March
Although the situation regarding coronavirus continues to change, we wanted to take the time to reassure you that you can still get all your building & roofing supplies safely. We are still open as usual & here to take orders over the phone or online, if you prefer not to call into our branches.
The health of both our customers and our staff is our key priority. We are closely following the advice of Public Health England and the World Health Organisation and introducing a range of new procedures to minimise the impact to health. We will continue to remain open until we receive the advice that it is not safe to do so.
Our drivers have been instructed, where possible, to wear disposable gloves and will wash their hands before and after making deliveries. If you require a pen to make a signature it need not be returned; wherever possible paperwork will be sent electronically. All of our drivers have been asked where possible, to carry wipes to wipe down their cab and steering wheel on a regular basis. All our staff will be social distancing to minimise the risk of infection.
Our trade counter staff are all endeavouring to use hand sanitiser to minimise the risk of infection and will stand a safe distance away should you wish to come in to place an order. Where available hand sanitiser has been placed next to our chip & pin machines for customer use.
Any of our staff who show even mild signs of flu-like symptoms have been advised to follow the government advice surrounding medical care and self-isolation, and we are ensuring that team members are supported fully during this time.
Don’t forget as well as using the website you can email or phone any of our branches to place an order. We hope with a few minor changes to procedure, everything will be business as usual and you should have no trouble getting all the building & roofing supplies you need.
